Scientists find link between chemotherapy and spread of cancer

The researchers found that mice that underwent chemotherapy had a higher amount of TMEM sites, places where cancer cells can enter blood vessels. The researchers found similarities with human breast cancer patients, who had undergone chemotherapy. Using NYSERNet’s R&E network, the scientists were able to share data and observations between institutions.
