Researchers use our R&E network to battle bedbugs

Researchers at Weill Cornell Medicine and the American Museum of Natural History have assembled the bedbug’s complete genome, and are using the data to find new ways to combat the resurgent, pesticide-resistant bugs. The bedbug microbiome contains more than 1,500 genes, data that was shared by researchers using NYSERNet’s Research & Education Network. [Photo by L. Sorkin, American Museum of Natural History.]
