Einstein Researchers Find New Strategy for Preventing Clogged Arteries

Scientists at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, a NYSERNet member, led by Ana Maria Cuervo, M.D., Ph.D., minimized artery-narrowing plaque in mice that would otherwise develop lesions. This study is the first to show that turning up CMA could effectively prevent atherosclerosis from becoming severe.
