The Office of the Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Brice Bible, is excited to announce the UBIT Data Privacy Forum.

The conference is scheduled for Monday, April 8, 2019 and will be held in the Student Union Theater on UB’s North Campus.

The conference will focus on legal, social, economic, and technical implications for data use and data privacy, particularly within the context of higher education. The goal is to foster cross-disciplinary discussion and debate about the current status of data privacy, expanding technological uses of data, as well as the possible future implications for UB and higher education.

Speakers will represent a variety of perspectives including: legal, business and industry, research, and the student experience.

A detailed agenda and registration information is forthcoming and this event is free and open to the public.

We would also like to extend an invitation for lunch and a roundtable discussion with other local CIOs scheduled for 12-2pm.

Please RSVP to cio@buffalo.edu by March 18, 2019 and indicate any dietary restrictions for lunch so we can accommodate your needs. We hope you can join us.

Regards,
